We had John and his crew aboard the Hallie Loren today for a great day on the water!
On our way to the fluke grounds, we ran into birds diving on baitfish pushed to the surface by hungry bluefish. We stopped to cast and jig, pulling up dozens of blues and leaving them biting!
Once we reached the fluke grounds, conditions were slick, so we deployed the trolling motor to keep us moving. The action started immediately with a solid mix of short and keeper fluke, along with a bunch of nice Black Sea Bass in the mix. Once the south wind kicked up, the bite slowed down, and a quick check of a few spots in the bay on the way back yielded no luck.
All in all, it was a beautiful, action-packed day on the water. Thanks to John and the guys for fishing with us!

Kevin had the boat all to himself today for an ocean fluke trip, and the action didn't disappoint!
Out on the grounds, the bite started early with plenty of fast-paced action on shorts and aggressive black sea bass keeping us busy. The highlight of the day came when one rod doubled over hard—after a great battle, Kevin brought a gorgeous 7 lb, 26.5-inch doormat over the rail. He went on to secure two more solid keepers to fill his limit and head home with a prime fresh dinner for the family.
We have open availability daily for ocean fluke charters. Give us a call or send a message to get your date on the calendar!
Tight lines,
Captain Eddie
Billy organized an afternoon charter for himself and his coworkers, kicking off the trip with a great lunch at the marina restaurant before hitting the water. Stiff south winds out on the ocean gave us a fast drift off Long Branch, keeping the rods bending with steady short fluke action. After a couple of hours outside, we moved into Sandy Hook Bay where the keeper fluke bit, and all keepers were prepped and iced down in the fish box. It was a blast having this crew on board—they told great stories throughout the trip and wrapped up the afternoon early to get back in time for happy hour at the marina restaurant
