Charter Policies & Safety
To ensure the safety of our guests and crew, we observe a strict policy regarding substances on board:
• Alcohol in Moderation: Beer, seltzers, and canned cocktails are welcome. Hard liquor is strictly prohibited.
• No Glass Bottles: For the safety of everyone on deck, please ensure all beverages are in cans or plastic containers. Broken glass on a moving vessel is a major safety hazard.
• Zero Tolerance Drug Policy: In compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations, no illegal drugs of any kind are permitted on board. This includes recreational marijuana, which remains illegal on federal waterways.
• Safety Termination: The Captain reserves the right to terminate any charter immediately, without refund, if a passenger’s intoxication or behavior compromises the safety of the vessel, the crew, or other guests.
The First Mate
Our mate is here to ensure you have a seamless day on the water. He arrives long before departure to rig the gear and prep the bait, and he stays long after we dock to fillet your catch and clean the vessel.
While we provide the expertise, a gratuity of 20% or more is customary in the industry and serves as the primary way our mate is compensated for his hard work and dedication to your trip.
Deposits: We require a 25% deposit to book your trip.
Cancellation Policy: Your deposit will be refunded at the Captain's discretion. As long as you make an effort to cancel your trip within a reasonable time frame (1 week in advance minimum), your money will be refunded. If the trip is cancelled by the Captain because of weather, etc. you will receive a full refund or a chance to reschedule your trip.
