Today’s fishing was a bit slower compared to yesterday's great action, but the weather absolutely made up for it. We enjoyed a beautiful, slick-calm ride out on a flat ocean that looked as clear and aqua-blue as the Caribbean! On our way to the main grounds, we made a few quick scouting stops to see if any early Seabass were ready to play, but we didn't find any takers just yet. Once we arrived at the reef, we joined the local charter and party boat fleet. Action across the board was quiet for everyone, so we made the executive decision to shift gears. We moved on to target Ling to ensure our anglers could put some meat in the cooler, spending the remainder of the trip building up a nice catch.
This is very typical for May. As the water temperatures continue to climb over the next week or two, this bottom fishing is going to break wide open. The fish are there, they just need that slightly warmer water to trigger a heavy bite. Things are looking very promising for our upcoming trips!
🚢 Upcoming Open Dates:
Don't miss out when this bite explodes. Our next available open dates to get on a trip or charter are May 30 and May 31.
